  • This was one of the few films where veteran actor Sanjeev Kumar played a negative role, portraying the corrupt merchant Sahuji.
  • Director Shakti Samanta was known for romantic films like 'Aradhana', making this dark thriller a significant departure from his usual style.

  • Parts of the film were shot on location in Darjeeling to capture the authentic hill station atmosphere for the village setting.
  • Actor Parikshat Sahni, who played a key role, is the son of the famous writer Balraj Sahni, adding a legacy connection to the cast.
