Trivia

  • The film's title is a playful twist on a popular Hindi idiom, 'Do Kadke Dono Ladke,' which means two tall boys.
  • It was one of the few films where actor Paintal, known for comic roles, played a central character instead of a side role.
  • The movie was shot quickly and on a modest budget, typical of director Basu Chatterjee's realistic filmmaking style.
  • Music director Rajesh Roshan composed the songs, but the soundtrack did not become as famous as his work for bigger hits.
  • The plot resembles a comedy of errors, a genre Basu Chatterjee often used in films like 'Chhoti Si Baat' and 'Khatta Meetha'.
  • Despite starring known actors like Ashok Kumar and Deven Verma, the film had a very limited theatrical release.
  • The story is set mostly in one night inside a house, creating a simple, stage-play-like feeling.
