Trivia
- The film's title and core concept are inspired by the ancient Indian folktale 'Vikramaditya and Betaal', where a king solves riddles told by a ghost.
- Director Pushkar said the script was written with only Vijay Sethupathi in mind for Vedha, and he waited over a year for his dates.
- The iconic coin-toss scene was filmed in a single take to capture the raw, spontaneous reaction between the two lead actors.
- Composer Sam C.S. used a unique 'reverse scoring' technique for some scenes, where the music was composed first and the visuals were edited to match it.
- The film was shot extensively in real locations across North Chennai to capture the authentic atmosphere of the setting.
- Despite being a critical hit, the film had a modest initial box office opening but gained a much larger audience through word-of-mouth and digital streaming.
- A scene where Vedha eats biryani was improvised by Vijay Sethupathi on set, adding to the character's casual, menacing charm.
