Trapped is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language survival drama film directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. It stars Rajkummar Rao as Shaurya, a call centre employee, and Geetanjali Thapa as Noorie, his girlfriend. The film follows Shaurya after he accidentally locks himself inside his new apartment in an empty high-rise building in Mumbai. With no food, water, or electricity, and a dead phone, he must fight to survive while the city remains oblivious to his plight. The film explores themes of urban loneliness and the indifference of modern society. It was shot in 20 days on the 30th floor of an abandoned building. Trapped premiered at the Mumbai Film Festival in 2016 to a standing ovation and was released in theatres on 17 March 2017. It received positive reviews for Rao's performance and won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor.

Storyline
A lonely call centre worker named Shaurya moves into a new apartment in an empty high-rise building. The next morning, he accidentally locks himself inside. His phone dies. The electricity goes out. He has no food and no water. With no one knowing he is there, Shaurya must find a way to escape before his body gives out.
