Ayan is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by K. V. Anand and produced by M. Saravanan and M. S. Guhan under AVM Productions. The film stars Suriya, Prabhu, Tamannaah Bhatia, Akashdeep Saighal, Jagan, and Karunas. The story follows Deva, a computer science graduate who works as a smuggler for his father's friend Dass, smuggling pirated DVDs and gold. When his best friend Chitti is killed by a rival smuggler named Kamalesh, Deva seeks revenge while trying to escape the crime world. The film was shot across Namibia, Malaysia, Zanzibar, South Africa, and Mauritius. It was declared the solo blockbuster of 2009 in Tamil cinema, collecting approximately ₹80 crore worldwide. The soundtrack was composed by Harris Jayaraj, and the film received multiple nominations at the 57th Filmfare Awards South. Ayan released on 3 April 2009 worldwide.

Storyline
Deva is a young smuggler working for Dass in Chennai. His mother wants him to become a government officer. When his best friend Chitti is killed by a ruthless rival named Kamalesh, Deva must choose between revenge and a clean life. He teams up with a customs officer to bring down the smuggling ring.
