Gnabagangal(2009)
'Gnabagangal' is a 2009 Tamil-language drama film directed by M. Jeevan. The film stars lyricist Pa. Vijay in his acting debut alongside Sridevika. It follows Kathiravan, a National Award-winning lyricist who travels to meet his ex-lover Meera after learning she is married. The narrative explores themes of lost love, terminal illness, and closure. The film is a remake of the Kannada hit 'Mungaru Male' (2006) but changes the protagonist's motivation for visiting his former partner. Critics panned the screenplay and performances, with Sify calling it 'over the top melodrama' and Rediff describing it as a 'tedious yawn fest'. The soundtrack was composed by debutant James Vick and features six songs.
