Kalavu Thozhirchalai is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language heist film written and directed by T. Krishnasamy. The film stars Kathir as Sweet Ravi, a small-time thief, alongside Vamsi Krishna as the international smuggler Ram Sanjay. Kalanjiyam plays the investigating police officer Irfan, while Kushi appears as Ravi's fiancée Vani. The story follows a plot to steal the Maragatha Lingam, a priceless Shiva idol worth 600 crores, from the Marundeeswarar Temple in Tanjore. The film is notable for being one of the last productions allowed to shoot inside Tamil Nadu temples before the government banned filming in such locations. It was released on 22 September 2017 after multiple production delays since 2014.
