Thangam(2008)
Thangam is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Kicha. The film stars Sathyaraj in the lead role, with Megha Nair, Goundamani, and Jayashree in supporting roles. Set in a small town near Coimbatore, the story follows Thangam, a respected village do-gooder, who sacrifices his freedom to protect his sister's marriage. When his family is murdered due to a feud with a rival family and a corrupt MLA, Thangam seeks revenge. The film relies on a formulaic 1980s-style narrative of brother-sister sentiment, comedy, and action. Sify noted that the presentation works well for B and C center audiences. The film was released in 2008.
