Singakutty is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by A. Venkatesh. The film stars Shivaji Dev in his career debut as the lead, alongside Gowri Munjal and Vivek. The story follows Kadhir, a young man who becomes a police officer and is forced to plant a bomb at a temple after his family is kidnapped. The film features a comedy track by Vivek as Paulraj, a juice shop owner obsessed with actress Malavika. The soundtrack was composed by debutant Prasanna Shekhar and includes a remix of Ilaiyaraaja's 'Aattama Therottama'. Singakutty was released on 21 March 2008 and did not perform well at the box office. Critics noted that the first half was weak but the second half improved.

Storyline
Kadhir is a happy young man who becomes a police officer. On his way home, his family is kidnapped by a mysterious man. The kidnapper forces Kadhir to plant a bomb at a crowded temple. Kadhir must find a way to save his family and stop the explosion before it is too late.
