
Silambattam(2008)
Silambattam is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language masala action film written and directed by S. Saravanan in his directorial debut. The film stars Silambarasan in a dual role as father Tamizharasan and son Vichu, alongside Prabhu, Sneha, and Sana Khan. The story follows Vichu, a passive village priest raised by his grandfather, who is forced to confront his violent family history after a temple incident. The film features music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with the song 'Where Is the Party' becoming a chart-topping hit. Critical reception was mixed, with praise for the music but criticism of the formulaic plot. The film won three Isaiaruvi Tamil Music Awards and Kanal Kannan won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Stunt Coordinator. Silambattam was released on 12 December 2008 by Lakshmi Movie Makers.

Storyline
Vichu is a quiet village priest who never fights back. His grandfather raised him to be passive to hide a dark family secret. When thugs attack a stranger near the temple, Vichu reveals his hidden fighting skills. Now he must uncover his father's past and face a powerful enemy seeking revenge.
