Panchamirtham(2008)
Panchamirtham is a 2008 Tamil-language fantasy comedy film written and directed by Raju Eswaran. The cast includes Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Raju Eswaran, Nassar in a dual role, Aravind Akash, Saranya Mohan, and Samiksha. The story begins in the Ramayana era with the demon Mareesan being forced to become a golden deer by Ravanan. After being shot by Rama, Mareesan turns into a rock and remains dormant for centuries. In modern times, the rock is disturbed when a woman named Seetha falls onto it, breaking the curse. The film then follows Mareesan and his old enemy Idumban as they become involved in a property dispute in a tea estate. The movie is a slapstick comedy with a mythological twist, praised for its humour and family-friendly tone. It was produced by Abirami Ramanathan and released on 25 December 2008.
