Thoovanam is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film co-directed by Haricharan and Newton. The film stars Adithya as Karthi and Nethra as Anu. It follows an interior designer from Chennai who falls for an NRI girl in Pondicherry. After she rejects him, he attempts suicide. When she later falls in love with him, he plans a cruel revenge instead of accepting her love. The film won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Family Film. Critics gave mixed reviews, praising the background score and cinematography but criticizing the screenplay. The soundtrack was composed by Isaac Thomas Kottukapally. The film released on September 7, 2007.

Storyline
Karthi is a wealthy interior designer in Chennai. He falls in love with Anu, an NRI girl visiting Pondicherry. When she rejects him, he tries to kill himself. Anu feels guilty and falls in love with him. But Karthi's heart has turned cold. He plans to use her and leave her. Anu knows his plan but still chooses to love him.
