
Thirupaachi(2005)
Thirupaachi is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Perarasu in his directorial debut. The film stars Vijay as Sivagiri, a village bladesmith, alongside Trisha, Mallika, Livingston, Pasupathy, and Kota Srinivasa Rao. The story follows Sivagiri as he moves to Chennai after his sister's wedding and takes on three powerful gangsters who control the city. The music was composed by Dhina, with one song each by Devi Sri Prasad and Mani Sharma. The film was a major commercial success and won Vijay the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize for Best Actor. It was remade in Kannada as Thangigagi and in Telugu as Annavaram. The film released on 14 January 2005 for the Pongal festival.

Storyline
A village blacksmith named Sivagiri loves his sister more than anything. After her husband is murdered by a powerful gangster in Chennai, Sivagiri decides to destroy the entire city underworld. He must fight three ruthless gangsters, a corrupt system, and his own grief to bring justice.
