Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language road film written and directed by S. S. Stanley. The film stars Dhanush as Saravanan and Aparna Pillai as Shalini. The story follows Saravanan, a young man from Pudukkottai who travels to Singapore for work, accidentally kills a man, and becomes a fugitive. He agrees to escort a woman named Shalini back to her family in India in exchange for three lakh rupees. The film was shot in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and India. It marked Dhanush's debut as a playback singer with the song 'Naatu Sarakku'. The film received mixed reviews for its implausible plot but was noted for its ambitious cross-country filming. It was released on 14 January 2004, coinciding with Thai Pongal.

Storyline
Saravanan goes to Singapore to earn money for his debt-ridden family. After a fight leaves a man dead, he loses his passport and becomes a wanted man. Desperate to return home, he accepts a dangerous job: escort a rich girl named Shalini across three countries to her family in India. The journey tests their survival and changes their lives forever.
