
Ramachandra(2003)
Ramachandra is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Raj Kapoor. The film stars Sathyaraj as Inspector Ramachandran, with Vijayalakshmi, Pandiarajan, and Ashish Vidyarthi in key roles. The story follows an honest police officer who is sentenced to death after being framed by a corrupt politician. He escapes prison and becomes a vigilante, killing the criminals who escaped the law. The film is a remake of the 1995 Telugu film Khaidi Inspector. Critics noted the film's appeal to mass audiences, with mixed reviews highlighting its weak character development but fast pacing. The soundtrack was composed by Deva, and P. Unnikrishnan won a Tamil Nadu State Film Award for his playback singing. Ramachandra was released on 15 January 2003 during the Pongal festival.

Storyline
Inspector Ramachandran is an honest cop fighting a corrupt politician named Chockalingam. When the villain escapes punishment and frames him for murder, Ramachandran is sentenced to death. His friends help him escape prison. Now a fugitive, he must take down Chockalingam and his criminal empire to save his family and find true justice.
