Dum is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language romantic action comedy film directed by A. Venkatesh. It stars Silambarasan and Rakshita in lead roles, with Ashish Vidyarthi and S. S. Rajendran in pivotal supporting roles. The story follows Sathya, a wild and fearless young man who falls in love with Suchitra, the daughter of a strict police commissioner. Sathya must prove his courage and worth to win her father's approval while secretly pursuing his dream of becoming an IPS officer. The film is noted for its high-energy action sequences, including a dangerous stunt performed by Silambarasan from a fifth-floor building. Storyline
Sathya is a reckless young man who loves to fight. After being beaten by a group of college students, he is saved by Suchitra, who donates her blood. He falls in love with her, but her father is the powerful police commissioner who hates troublemakers. Sathya must fight for his love and prove he has real guts.
