Punnagai Desam(2002)
Punnagai Desam is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by K. Shajahan in his directorial debut. The film stars Tarun, Sneha, Kunal, Hamsavardhan, Dhamu, and Preetha Vijayakumar in lead roles. The story follows Ganesh, who moves to Chennai after his mother's death and secretly sacrifices everything to help his three friends achieve their dreams while hiding his love for his childhood sweetheart. The film features a soundtrack composed by S. A. Rajkumar with six songs. R. Madhi made his debut as cinematographer with this film. Punnagai Desam was produced by R. B. Choudary under Super Good Films and released on 14 January 2002 during the Pongal festival. The film did reasonable business at the box office and was later remade in Telugu as Nava Vasantham in 2007.

Storyline
Ganesh comes to Chennai after his mother dies, hoping to marry his childhood sweetheart Bomma. But her rich father rejects him. He meets three struggling friends and secretly works hard to help them achieve their dreams. Will his friends succeed? Will he reunite with his love?
