Vaanathaippola (transl. Like the sky) is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Vikraman. The film stars Vijayakanth in a dual role as Vellaichaamy and Muthu, with Meena, Prabhu Deva, and Livingston in supporting roles. The story follows Vellaichaamy, an elder brother who sacrifices his own happiness to raise his three younger brothers in a village. He navigates obstacles including class differences, family grudges, and personal loss to ensure his brothers' marriages and careers. The film won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. It was a major commercial success, running for over 250 days in theatres, and was remade in Telugu and Kannada. The film was released on 14 January 2000.

Storyline
