
Santosham(1998)
Santosham is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Karthik and written by Agathiyan. The film stars Saravanan as Indran, a gold medalist graduate who is jobless and in debt, and Suvalakshmi as Bhavani, his only friend. The supporting cast includes K. S. Ravikumar, Anand Babu, Prakash Raj as Minister Nadesan, R. Sundarrajan, and Thalaivasal Vijay as Kanthaswamy. The story follows Indran's struggle with constant bad luck, his work as an auto rickshaw driver, and his brief happiness after marrying Bhavani, which is shattered by a sudden tragedy. The film was praised by D. S. Ramanujam of The Hindu for its dialogue and screenplay, and performed reasonably well at the box office. It was released on 14 April 1998.

Storyline
Indran is a gold medalist who cannot find a job. Everyone has abandoned him except his friend Bhavani. After failing a political job interview, he becomes an auto rickshaw driver. A good deed leads to a new job and marriage to Bhavani, but a devastating tragedy threatens to destroy everything.
