
Ullaasam(1997)
Ullaasam is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film directed and co-written by the duo JD–Jerry. It stars Ajith Kumar, Vikram, and Maheswari in lead roles, with Raghuvaran, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, and Srividya in supporting parts. The story follows two boys from neighboring families: one becomes a violent criminal, the other a gentle singer, and both fall for the same woman. Produced by Amitabh Bachchan under his banner Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited, it marks his first Tamil production. The film received mixed reviews and was a box office failure, but remains notable as the only film featuring both Ajith and Vikram together. It was released on 23 May 1997.

Storyline
Guru is a violent gangster raised by a crime boss. Dev is a kind singer raised by an honest bus driver. Both boys grow up as neighbors but walk different paths. When Megha enters their lives, she falls for Guru and wants to change him. Dev secretly loves her too. Guru must choose between crime and love. Dev must choose between his feelings and his friend's happiness.
