Subramaniya Swamy(1994)
Subramaniya Swamy is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language comedy film written and directed by Pandiarajan. The film stars Pandiarajan, Urvashi, and Priya Raman in lead roles. It is a remake of the Malayalam film Mazhavilkavadi. The story follows Velayudham, a village youth who leaves home after a failed elopement and becomes a barber in Palani. His life gets complicated when his boss's daughter falls in love with him while his childhood sweetheart waits for him. The film features a soundtrack composed by Deva with lyrics by Vaali. Critical reception was mixed, with reviewers noting the film lost some charm from the original. The film was released on 12 February 1994.

Storyline
Velayudham loves Valli but her father hates him. After a failed elopement, he runs to Palani to find work. He steals a bag of barber tools and becomes a barber by mistake. His boss's daughter Amudha falls in love with him. Now he must choose between his childhood love and his new love.
