Rasigan is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar. It stars Vijay, Sanghavi, and Vichithra in lead roles. The story follows Vijay, a young man who secretly loves his neighbour Anitha, but gets caught in a crime web after following her to Madras. He is blamed for two deaths and must prove his innocence while rescuing Anitha from a corrupt restaurant owner. The film is notable for being the first to credit Vijay as 'Ilaya Thalapathy' and for featuring his singing debut. It was a commercial success, running for 175 days in theatres. The film was released on 8 July 1994.

Storyline
