Thamarai(1994)
Thamarai is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed and produced by K. K. Rajsirpy. The film stars Napoleon, Rupini, and Rohini in lead roles. The story is set in a village divided by a prophecy that demands the relocation of a Kali temple to the site of a Madurai Veeran temple. Napoleon plays Thamarai, a short-tempered man who returns from jail to protect the Madurai Veeran temple from the village chief Subbarayan. The film explores themes of love, sacrifice, and class conflict. It was released on 19 August 1994 and marked Napoleon's first lead role, though his earlier film Seevalaperi Pandi released first. The music was composed by Deva with lyrics by Vairamuthu.

Storyline
Thamarai returns to his village after five years in jail. He sides with the Madurai Veeran community against the ruthless village chief Subbarayan. A prophecy threatens to destroy the temple, and Thamarai must fight to save it. But his past love for Subbarayan's daughter and a poor woman's silent love complicate everything.
