It is a loose adaptation of the 1953 American film Roman Holiday. The story follows a wealthy young woman who escapes her father's control and falls in love with a struggling photographer in Chennai. The film features music composed by A. R. Rahman with lyrics by Vairamuthu. The soundtrack includes popular songs like 'Margazhi Poove' and 'Enmel Vizhundha Mazhaithuli'. The film was released on 9 September 1994. Despite receiving positive reviews for its music and performances, it was not a commercial success.
