Madurai Meenakshi(1993)
Madurai Meenakshi is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by P. Amirtham and written by M. Karunanidhi from a story by P. Harirajan. The film stars Selva as Madurai, a traffic police officer, and Ranjitha as Meenakshi, the daughter of a corrupt home minister. The supporting cast includes Sujatha, Captain Raju, Pradeep Shakthi, Vijayakumar, Nassar, and Sabitha Anand. The plot follows Madurai's clash with Meenakshi, their eventual love, and his fight against her father's corrupt political system. The film was noted for its political commentary and faced a Supreme Court petition for negative portrayal of politicians, which was rejected. Storyline
A honest traffic cop named Madurai dreams of becoming a police inspector. He angers the daughter of a corrupt minister, who uses her father's power to humiliate him. But as they spend time together, they fall in love. Now Madurai must fight the minister's evil plans to destroy him and steal land from innocent people.
