
Durga(1990)
Durga is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language children's drama film directed and written by Rama Narayanan. It stars Baby Shamili in a dual role as Durga and Malliga, with Nizhalgal Ravi, Kanaka, and Kitty in lead roles. The story follows a wealthy orphan girl who escapes her murderous uncle with the help of her pet monkey and dog. She finds refuge with a kind man and a dancer, while the uncle's accomplice forces a lookalike to impersonate her. The film was a box office success and was remade in Kannada as Bhairavi in 1991. It is remembered for its emotional story, animal characters, and the popular song 'Pappa Paadum Paattu'.
