Businessman is a 2012 Indian Telugu-language action crime film directed and written by Puri Jagannadh. The film stars Mahesh Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, and Nassar. The story follows Vijay Surya, a man who arrives in Mumbai with the goal of conquering the city by turning the criminal underworld into a legal business empire. The film was produced by R. R. Venkat under the banner R. R. Movie Makers, based on a concept by Ram Gopal Varma. It was shot in 74 working days across Hyderabad, Mumbai, Goa, and Bangkok. The music was composed by S. Thaman. Businessman received mixed to positive reviews, with praise for Mahesh Babu's performance and the dialogues. It grossed over ₹71 crore at the global box office, becoming one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of 2012. The film was released on 14 January 2012 during the Sankranthi festival.

Storyline
Vijay Surya arrives in Mumbai with a single goal: to rule the city. He builds a criminal empire, then turns it into a legal business that collects a 2% tax on every contract. But his past catches up with him when a corrupt minister who killed his parents threatens everything he loves.
