Rakshana (1993) is a Telugu-language action film directed by Uppalapati Narayana Rao. The film stars Nagarjuna as ACP Bose and Shobhana as Padma. The story follows Bose, a fearless police officer transferred to Hyderabad, who wages a personal war against crime lord Chinna and his politician brother Nalla Seenu. After the brothers kidnap his daughter, Bose breaks all rules to rescue her. The film is regarded as one of the top cop movies in Telugu cinema. It received positive reviews and was a box office hit. The soundtrack was composed by M. M. Keeravani. The film won the Nandi Award for Best Choreographer for Prabhu Deva. It was later dubbed in Tamil as Kaaval Thurai and remade in Bengali Bangladesh as Banglar Hero (1998).

Storyline
