Kick(2009)
Kick is a 2009 Indian Telugu-language vigilante action comedy film directed by Surender Reddy. The film stars Ravi Teja, Ileana D'Cruz, and Shaam in his Telugu debut. The story follows Kalyan, a man addicted to thrills who quits every job due to boredom. After losing his girlfriend Naina, he becomes a vigilante thief who steals from corrupt politicians. He uses the stolen money to fund cancer surgeries for poor children. The film was a major commercial success, collecting a distributor's share of ₹25-30 crore. It was the third highest-grossing Telugu film of 2009 and revived the industry after a dry spell. The film was remade in Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada. A sequel, Kick 2, was released in 2015. Storyline
Kalyan is a young man who can't hold down a job because he craves danger. His girlfriend Naina leaves him after he quits yet another position. Months later, Naina meets a police officer named Kalyan Krishna. He is hunting a mysterious thief who steals from corrupt politicians. The thief is Kalyan, and he uses the money to save sick children. Now, Kalyan Krishna must catch him before his final heist.
