Trivia
- The film is a loose remake of the 1997 Hollywood thriller '8 Heads in a Duffel Bag', which itself was a dark comedy about mistaken baggage.
- Brahmanandam's character Tyson, who carries the bag of heads, is named after the famous boxer Mike Tyson, adding a quirky touch.
- This was one of the few Telugu films shot extensively in Bangkok, Thailand, during that period, capitalizing on foreign locations.
- Director G. Ram Prasad had previously worked mostly as an assistant director, and this film marked one of his early solo directorial ventures.
- The title 'Naa Girl Friend Baga Rich' (My Girlfriend Is Very Rich) was considered misleading, as the story focuses more on crime and suspense than romance.
- Despite its poor reception, the film featured a cameo by actress Jayasudha in a supporting role as a family matriarch.
- The soundtrack was composed by Koti, a veteran music director known for many hit films in the 1990s and early 2000s.
