Partnership facts

• Their first film together, Ottesi Cheputunna (2003), was a last-minute replacement. The original actor dropped out, and Brahmanandam suggested Sivaji to the director. That one call turned into a 9-film run.
• In Konchem Touchlo Vunte Cheputanu (2004), Brahmanandam deliberately slowed his comic timing to match Sivaji's deadpan delivery. He later said Sivaji's straight face made his own jokes land harder — they fed off each other's rhythm.
• During the shoot of Adirindayya Chandram (2005), Sivaji would drive Brahmanandam home every night after pack-up. They'd stop at the same dhaba for chai and argue about cricket for an hour. Neither remembers who won those arguments.
• Brahmanandam Drama Company (2008) was the first Telugu film to have a comedian's name in the title — and it was Sivaji who pushed the producer to do it. That film directly inspired the trend of comedian-led titles in Telugu cinema over the next decade.
• Sivaji once said in a 2014 interview: 'Brahmanandam is the only co-star who made me forget my lines because I was laughing so hard. We'd have to reshoot half the scene.'
• In Boochamma Boochodu (2014), their last film together, Brahmanandam improvised a 3-minute monologue on set. Sivaji didn't interrupt — he just stood there reacting with his eyes. The director kept the take because Sivaji's silent reactions were funnier than any line.
