Parugu(2008)
Parugu is a 2008 Indian Telugu-language romantic action drama film written and directed by Bhaskar and produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film stars Allu Arjun, Sheela Kaur, and Prakash Raj in lead roles. The story follows Neelakanta, a strict village elder, who kidnaps a group of strangers after his daughter elopes. Among the captives is Krishna, a carefree young man who falls in love with Neelakanta's other daughter, Meenakshi. The film explores themes of love, family honor, and sacrifice. It was shot in Hyderabad, Kerala, Kodaikanal, Rajahmundry, and Jordan. Parugu received positive reviews and won two Nandi Awards, including Third Best Feature Film. It is now regarded as a cult classic. The film was released worldwide on 1 May 2008.
