Trivia

  • The film is a remake of the Tamil movie 'Parthale Paravasam' (2001), which was also directed by Balasekaran.
  • This was one of the few Telugu films where actress Reema Sen played a dual role, portraying both the traditional wife and the modern lookalike.
  • The movie's soundtrack was composed by S. A. Rajkumar, known for his work in Tamil and Telugu films during the early 2000s.
  • It was shot primarily in Hyderabad and some parts of Chennai, common locations for Telugu remakes of Tamil films at the time.
  • The film did not perform well at the box office, which led to fewer similar dual-role comedies being made in Telugu that year.
  • Sivaji, the lead actor, was often cast in romantic comedies during this period, but this film marked a shift in his career towards more varied roles.
  • The plot's confusion between two lookalikes was a popular trope in South Indian cinema during the early 2000s, inspired by earlier Hindi films.
