→Trivia
- The film's title 'Seetayya' is a colloquial variation of the lead character's name Seethaiah, commonly used in parts of Andhra Pradesh.
- This was the first Telugu film for actress Sada, who was a popular star in Tamil cinema at the time.
- Director Y.V.S. Chowdary reportedly wrote the script with actor Jagapathi Babu specifically in mind for the intense police role.
- The movie's climax was shot extensively in the rocky terrains of Hyderabad, resembling a raw and gritty atmosphere.
- Despite being an action drama, the film included a special comedy track by actor Brahmanandam, which was a common practice in early 2000s Telugu cinema.
- The soundtrack, composed by Koti, did not achieve major commercial success, unlike many other Telugu films of that year.
- The film's narrative of a police officer constantly transferring locations was noted by critics as a recurring theme in Jagapathi Babu's career during that period.
