Y.V.S. Chowdhary (Yalamanchili Venkata Satyanarayana Chowdhary), born 23 May 1965 in Gudivada, Andhra Pradesh, is a Telugu cinema director, producer, and distributor who trained under directors K. Raghavendra Rao, Ram Gopal Varma, and Krishna Vamsi before making his directorial debut with Sri Sita Ramula Kalyanam Chootamu Raarandi (1998), produced by Nagarjuna. He directed Sitarama Raju (1999) starring Nagarjuna and Nandamuri Harikrishna, and Seetayya (2003) featuring Harikrishna, Soundarya, and Simran with music by M.M. Keeravani, the latter marking a notable commercial success for Harikrishna at age 48. His films frequently feature themes of family conflict and revenge, and he has directed nine films across a career spanning Telugu action dramas. He also founded Yuktha Music, his own audio label, and produced Nippu (2012) directed by Gunasekhar, starring Ravi Teja.
