Chantigadu is a 2003 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film directed by Jaya. The film stars Baladitya in his lead debut as the title character, alongside newcomer Suhasini as Seetamahalakshmi. Saranya Ponvannan and Ahuti Prasad play supporting roles as the mother and the antagonist, respectively. The story follows a young man who fights to protect others but struggles with his own self-worth when love enters his life. The film was noted for its simple, honest storytelling and was a commercial success, running for fifty days in theaters. Vandemataram Srinivas composed the soundtrack, with lyrics by Bhuvana Chandra and others. The film was released in late 2003 and received positive reviews for its fresh approach.
