Trivia
- The film's title 'Dear Uma' was inspired by a real-life love letter the director Sai Rajesh wrote in his youth.
- Lead actor Dev's rock star look required over 30 hours of tattoo application using temporary ink for shooting.
- A key scene was filmed at the historic Koti Women's College in Hyderabad, a rare permission for film crews.
- The movie's soundtrack features a cameo vocal by playback singer Sid Sriram in an uncredited background track.
- This was the first Telugu film to use a special 'soul vision' visual effect developed by a Hyderabad VFX studio.
- The climax was shot in a single 22-minute take requiring 17 rehearsals with both lead actors.
- Uma's medical books in the film were actual borrowed textbooks from a local medical student to ensure accuracy.
