• Saptagiri was cast in Sreekaram (2021) because director M. Mohana Krishna wanted a comedian who could also play a loyal friend without mugging to the camera. Aamani, who played the mother, personally suggested his name after working with him in a TV serial years earlier.
• In Wanted PanduGod (2022), Aamani and Saptagiri share a scene where she slaps him mid-sentence. That slap wasn't in the script — Aamani improvised it on the third take because Saptagiri kept breaking character with his timing. The director kept it in the final cut.
• On the sets of Sreekaram, Aamani noticed Saptagiri eating alone during lunch breaks. She started inviting him to her vanity van every day. By the end of the shoot, they had a running joke: whoever finished their dialogue first had to bring the other a cup of filter coffee.
• Saptagiri said in a 2022 interview: 'Aamani garu treats me like her real son. She scolds me when I mess up a line, but she also makes sure I eat on time. That's why our scenes feel real — because they are.'
• Their mother-son dynamic in Sreekaram was so well-received that the film's writer, Sai Madhav Burra, later wrote a similar emotional track for a 2023 OTT series specifically because he wanted to recreate that warmth between an older actress and a comedian.
