Trivia

  • The film's title 'Suvarna Sundari' references a legendary golden statue from Telugu folklore, though the plot takes creative liberties.
  • Director M. S. N. Surya previously worked as an assistant director on several big-budget Telugu films before making his directorial debut with this movie.
  • The horror-thriller was shot extensively in and around ancient temple locations in Andhra Pradesh to enhance its eerie atmosphere.
  • Actress Chandini Chowdary, who plays a key role, had to undergo special training for stunt sequences involving the supernatural idol.
  • The film's soundtrack was composed by Suresh Bobbili, who incorporated traditional folk instruments to create a haunting background score.
  • Despite its horror genre, the movie includes subtle social commentary on greed and historical artifacts, a recurring theme in the director's work.
  • The special effects team used a mix of practical props and CGI to bring the malevolent Trinethri idol to life on screen.
