Trivia
- The film's headless entity was inspired by a lesser-known North Indian folk tale about a vengeful spirit called 'Mundan'.
- Amar Kaushik shot key scenes in the same real-life Chanderi town locations used in the first film to maintain continuity.
- Actress Shraddha Kapoor learned a traditional folk dance from Madhya Pradesh for a song sequence in the movie.
- The film's comic scenes were largely improvised by the actors during rehearsals, similar to the first 'Stree'.
- Special effects for the headless ghost involved a mix of practical effects and CGI to make it look more realistic.
- The movie includes a cameo by a popular comedian from the first film, but in a completely different role.
- It is one of the few Hindi horror-comedy sequels to begin filming before the first film completed five years in theaters.
