  • The film's release coincided with a growing popularity of Hong Kong action movies in South India during the early 1990s.
  • It was promoted heavily with the tagline 'Super Cop' to distinguish it from other police dramas in Telugu cinema.
  • The Telugu version reportedly trimmed some scenes to fit the typical runtime of local action films at the time.
  • Its success led to more dubbed Jackie Chan films, like 'Rumble in the Bronx', getting Telugu releases shortly after.
