Mamagaru(1991)
Mamagaru (1991) is a Telugu-language drama film directed by Muthyala Subbaiah. It stars Dasari Narayana Rao, Vinod Kumar Alva, Aishwarya, and Yamuna in lead roles. The story follows Satteyya, a poor farmer who moves in with his son-in-law Vijay after his daughter's marriage. A jealous brother-in-law named Pothuraju schemes to destroy their bond through lies and violence. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Naan Pudicha Mappillai. It won three Nandi Awards including Best Actor for Dasari Narayana Rao. Babu Mohan's beggar character became a cultural highlight and launched his full-time acting career. The film was produced by A. Mohan and C. M. Krishna under the M. M. Movie Arts banner.

Storyline
Satteyya is a simple farmer whose daughter Lakshmi marries Vijay, the village president. Vijay brings Satteyya to live with them. But Vijay's jealous brother-in-law Pothuraju plots to destroy their family. He kills Lakshmi with a bomb and falsely accuses Satteyya of being a womaniser. Vijay must choose between his family and the lies he believes.
