
Om-Dar-Ba-Dar(2014)
Om-Dar-Ba-Dar is a 1988 Indian Hindi-language postmodernist film directed by Kamal Swaroop. The cast includes Anita Kanwar, Aditya Lakhia, and Gopi Desai. Set in Ajmer and Pushkar, Rajasthan, the story follows a schoolboy named Om through his carefree adolescence and its harsh disillusions. The film employs a nonlinear narrative and absurdist storyline to satirize mythology, arts, politics, and philosophy. It won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Movie in 1989. After premiering at the Berlin International Film Festival, it became a cult film despite no commercial release in India. A digitally restored version finally released in Indian theaters on 17 January 2014.

Storyline
A schoolboy named Om can hold his breath for a very long time. He lives in Ajmer with his astrology-obsessed father and heartbroken sister. Fascinated by magic and religion, Om runs away to Pushkar. He takes a home at the bottom of a frog pond, where reality and imagination blur into a strange, thrilling journey.
