Mathapoo(2013)
Mathapoo (transl. Sparkler) is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Nagaraj. The film stars newcomer Jayan and Gayathrie in lead roles, with Geetha, Sithara, Ilavarasu, Renuka, and Kitty in supporting parts. The story follows Karthik, a young man who falls in love with Pooja at first sight, but faces opposition from both families who have arranged other marriage plans. The film was shot over sixty days in Tamil Nadu. Music was composed by Velayudham, while Sabesh–Murali provided the background score. The audio launch was held on 24 April 2013 and was attended by several film industry figures including K. Bhagyaraj and Suseenthiran. Mathapoo received mixed reviews, with critics noting its slow pace and resemblance to 1990s romantic films. The Times of India rated it 2 out of 5 stars.

Storyline
