Ya Ya follows two friends, Ramarajan (called Dhoni) and Rajkiran (called Sehwag), who are lazy and jobless. They spend their days drinking, teasing girls, and dreaming of easy government jobs. Dhoni's family wants him to marry his cousin Kanaka, a police constable, but neither of them is interested.

One day, Dhoni goes for a job interview and meets Seetha, a beautiful young woman. He falls in love with her instantly. He tries to impress her with his jokes and charm. Seetha likes him and they start a relationship. But things get complicated when Dhoni meets Aishwarya, an ugly, buck-toothed local councillor who promised him a job.
