Shahid(2013)
Shahid is a 2013 Hindi biographical drama directed by Hansal Mehta. The film stars Rajkummar Rao as lawyer Shahid Azmi, with Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Prabhleen Sandhu, and Baljinder Kaur in supporting roles. It chronicles Azmi's life from the 1992-93 Bombay riots through his wrongful imprisonment under TADA, his journey to becoming a human rights lawyer, and his murder in 2010. The film won National Film Awards for Best Actor and Best Director. It premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and released theatrically in India on 18 October 2013. Shahid is available on Netflix and SonyLiv.

Storyline
Shahid Azmi survives the Bombay riots and spends time in a terror camp before being wrongly imprisoned for seven years. After his acquittal, he becomes a lawyer defending Muslims accused under anti-terror laws. His work makes him enemies, and he is murdered while defending a 26/11 accused.
