Agneepath is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language action crime film directed by Karan Malhotra. It stars Hrithik Roshan as Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, Sanjay Dutt as Kancha Cheena, and Rishi Kapoor as Rauf Lala. The story follows a young man who witnesses his father's murder and spends years infiltrating the Mumbai underworld to take revenge. The film is a remake of the 1990 cult classic of the same name. It was praised for its direction, performances, and music, particularly the song 'Chikni Chameli'. Agneepath was a commercial success, grossing over ₹193 crore worldwide. It was released on 26 January 2012, coinciding with Republic Day.

Storyline
After his father is falsely accused and publicly hanged by the ruthless drug lord Kancha Cheena, young Vijay Chauhan flees his village. He grows up in the Mumbai slums with a single goal: to destroy Kancha. To get close to his enemy, Vijay joins the gang of Kancha's rival, Rauf Lala. He rises through the criminal ranks, making dangerous choices that cost him his family and his love.
