Ekk Deewana Tha is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film written and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. It stars Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson in lead roles, with Sachin Khedekar and Manu Rishi Chadha in supporting parts. The story follows Sachin, a Mumbai-based aspiring filmmaker, who falls in love with Jessie, a girl from a strict Orthodox Christian family. Their relationship faces opposition from Jessie's father due to religious and cultural differences. The film is a remake of Menon's own Tamil film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010).
