The story follows Sivakumar, a meek mobile phone shop owner in Madurai, who secretly plots revenge against a ruthless gangster after his brother is murdered. It won multiple awards including Best Supporting Actor and Best Stunt Director. The movie was a commercial success, earning over ₹50 crore at the box office. It was later remade in Kannada as Rudra Tandava. The film released on 2 November 2013 during the Diwali festival.

Storyline
Sivakumar is a quiet mobile phone shop owner in Madurai. When a brutal gangster named Simmakkal Ravi murders his honest brother, Siva decides to take revenge. But his elderly father also plans to kill Ravi. Neither knows about the other's mission. Siva must outsmart the most powerful criminal in the city.
