Tarun Shatriya, whose real name is Sulile Kumar, is a Tamil and Kannada cinema actor from Bangalore who adopted the stage name at the suggestion of director Tarun Gopi for his debut film Kaalai (2008). He is primarily known for portraying antagonist roles, appearing in films such as Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum (2009), Aanmai Thavarael (2011), Thagaraaru (2013), and Dora (2017), where he played Bihari villain Mukesh Yadav. He transitioned to lead roles in Kannada and Tamil films including Maarikondavaru (2017) and Kalathur Gramam (2017), and also wrote and directed the 2017 short film The Broken Tide.
